AMSTERDAM, May 2 (Reuters) - Anglo-Dutch oil company Shell said on Thursday a fire at a plant at its Rotterdamrefinery Pernis was put out early in the morning, and theaffected unit has been taken out of production.
The fire started around 0200 GMT, and fire fighters broughtthe fire under control shortly afterwards, Shell said in astatement on its Web site.
Additional flaring occurred when the unit was taken out ofproduction, Shell said. No one was injured, it said. (Reporting by Gilbert Kreijger; Editing by Sara Webb)
