NEW YORK, Nov 5 (Reuters) - Royal Dutch Shell plansto shut one of two crude units at its 70,000-barrel-per-dayrefinery for 45 days in April, a person familiar with theoperations said.
The 35,000-bpd crude unit is being shut down in order toreplace the desalter, which removes salt from crude oil, theperson said.
The shutdown is expected to begin on April 1, but could bepostponed a few weeks depending on the market, the person said.
A company spokesman could not immediately be reached forcomment.
