British Columbia based aggregates business Pan Pacific Aggregates has secured provisional permission for the construction of an access road to its Quadling Quarry near Abbotsford, Canada.Completion of the road is expected to take six weeks. Once completed, the company will be able to start deliveries to customers from previously processed stockpiles of material. ‘This will allow sales and cash flow to follow within six weeks from the commencement of road construction,’ said William Voaden, managing director of Pan Pacific. In future, the road may be dedicated to the public through the city of Abbotsford, in which case maintenance of the road will revert to the city following a 12 month retention period. The agreement needs to be ratified by the council. ‘The pioneering work at the quarry has gone exceptionally well and we look forward to a very active and productive 2010,’ Voaden added.
