PowerHouse Starts Work On Munich Facility, Delaying Thai Delivery

Wed, 22nd Oct 2014 08:44

LONDON (Alliance News) - PowerHouse Energy Group PLC on Wednesday said it has started engineering and design work at its waste-to-energy facility in Munich and said it will delay delivery of a plant to its distribution partner in Thailand until the German project is completed.

PowerHouse said it has started initial front-end engineering and design for the commercialisation of the Eiting facility in Munich and wants to be able to demonstrate uninterrupted commercial operation of the facility in early 2015.

Owing to the focus it will have on completing the Eiting facility, it said it will delay delivery of a plant to Waste2Tricity (Thailand), its Thai distribution partner, until the Eiting site is completed.

PowerHouse said its recent talks with Waste2Tricity have indicated a growing interest from the Thai company in its 25 tonne per day units and its 50 tonne per day modules.

"We intend for Eiting to be a customer showcase, operating continuously, and generating significant economic returns for the company. As the entire team is required for the successful commercialisation in Eiting, the delay in Thailand is an inevitable result," said PowerHouse Executive Chairman Keith Allaun.

"However, Waste2Tricity is completely supportive of the focus of our resources on the Munich facility and remains a staunchly committed partner of Powerhouse in the ASEA region," he added.

PowerHouse shares were down 4% to 1.2 pence on Wednesday.
