Oriole reports more significant gold intersections from Mbe

Mon, 26th Jan 2026 14:14

(Sharecast News) - Oriole Resources said on Monday that it has returned further significant gold intersections from the ongoing maiden diamond drilling programme at the MB01-N target within its 90%-owned Mbe gold project in Cameroon, with results continuing to demonstrate continuity and depth potential.

The AIM-traded firm said the latest assays from holes MBDD027 to MBDD030 included a standout intersection in MBDD027 of 16.10 metres at 2.49 grams of gold per tonne from 152.40 metres, including one metre at 28.60 grams per tonne, alongside multiple additional mineralised zones higher in the hole.

It said the mineralisation in MBDD027 was interpreted as the along-strike continuation of mineralisation intersected 100 metres to the north in MBDD026 and confirmed the system to at least 160 metres vertical depth from surface, the deepest intersection recorded at MB01-N to date.

Further mineralisation was also reported from MBDD028, which returned 17.1 metres at 0.60 grams of gold per tonne from 55 metres, including narrower higher-grade intervals of up to 3.72 grams per tonne, while MBDD029 and MBDD030 each intersected shorter zones of gold mineralisation at depth.

The company said the results were consistent with the style of mineralisation seen at the nearby MB01-S deposit, which hosts an existing JORC inferred resource of 24.8 million tonnes at 1.09 grams per tonne for 870,000 ounces.

Oriole said the fully-funded 2,950-metre programme at MB01-N was now around 70% complete, with more than 2,000 metres drilled across ten holes, and was expected to finish later in the first quarter of 2026.

Following completion, its consultant was expected to prepare a maiden JORC resource for MB01-N, which would add to the existing resource base at the Mbe project.

"We are pleased to report another set of significant results from the drilling at MB01-N, particularly good is the 16.10m at 2.49 grams of gold per tonne from 152.4 metres in hole MBDD027," said chief executive Martin Rosser.

"Moreover, MBDD027 has returned the deepest intersection at MB01-N to date, confirming the system to at least around 160 metres vertical depth from surface."

Rosser said the programme was progressing well and that the company looked forward to reporting further results as drilling continues toward completion.

At 1355 GMT, shares in Oriole Resources were down 1% at 0.35p.
