LONDON (Alliance News) - Tool and equipment hire company Speedy Hire PLC on Thursday said it has appointed the chief executive of FTSE 250-listed vehicle hire company Northgate PLC to its board.
Bob Contreras will join Speedy's board on December 23.
The appointment comes at the end of a tough year for Speedy Hire, characterised by a series of profit warnings at its struggled against a competitive market, and only weeks after reports claimed the company recently had aborted merger talks with rival HSS Hire Group PLC.
Speedy Hire shares were down 1.4% to 34.75 pence on Thursday.
