Integumen Boss Gerard Brandon Becomes Chair Of Modern Water

Wed, 04th Mar 2020 13:01

(Alliance News) - Membrane technology firm Modern Water PLC on Wednesday confirmed Gerard Brandon has stepped up to the role of non-executive chair, following an initial announcement in January.

Brandon is replacing Piers Clark. Brandon is currently the chief executive of AIM-listed healthcare company Integumen PLC and will continue in that role in addition to chairing the Modern Water board.

"I am delighted to welcome Gerry to the board of the company. He brings dynamic company restructuring, global network and commercial focused credentials, with experience realising underexploited value, adding new routes to market through revenue share collaboration agreements in scientific and engineering businesses using digital analytics and artificial intelligence," said Chief Executive Simon Humphrey.

"Gerry's extensive management background, proven hands-on operational expertise, and experience of integrating businesses, positions him well to provide the board with the leadership necessary to support and direct executive management, helping to deliver on the new business model strategy that will drive Modern Water to profitability."

Shares were 2.3% lower on Wednesday afternoon in London at a price of 0.63 pence each. Integumen shares were down 3.7% at 1.29p.
