Millennium & Copthorne Appoints Lee To Takeover As CEO Next Year

Fri, 07th Nov 2014 15:36

LONDON (Alliance News) - Millennium and Copthorne Hotels PLC Friday said Aloysius Lee Tse Sang will take over from Wong Hong Ren as chief executive from the beginning of March next year.

Wong will remain as chief executive until the end of February, with Lee taking over from March 1. Lee's management career spans the leisure, information technology, telecommunications and real estate sectors, it said in a statement.

Currently, Lee is the chief executive of South Beach Consortium Pte Ltd, a joint venture between City Developments Ltd and other parties focusing on creating a mixed-use real estate development in Singapore, said Millennium.

Other companies where Lee has held "leadership roles" include Shui On Land, Hong Kong Telecom, Star Cruises and Singapore Airlines. Lee is also a member of the Chartered Management Institute and of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, it added.

"On behalf of the Board, I welcome Aloysius Lee to the group. His long and distinguished career in real estate, hospitality and technology makes him an ideal Chief Executive Officer for Millennium and Copthor," said Chairman Kwek Leng Beng.

Millennium and Copthorne shares were down 0.5% to 555.00 pence per share Friday afternoon.
