Light emitting diode (LED) lighting and electro-mechanical engineering specialist LPA Group said its subsidiary, LPA Excil Electronics has secured an initial order worth £0.6m to supply LED reading lights to be installed in new rolling stock for the French railway operator SNCF.This initial order is for 142 train sets with options for a total of up to 1,000 train sets, representing a potential value of £4.5m over 10 years.The company said that the second half of the financial year ended 30th September proved to be less challenging than the first half, but was still "very disappointing".On the bright side, the start of the current financial year has been much better than the corresponding period of last year.
