Landore Resources shares rose Monday after the miner said it intersected massive sulphide mineralisation at the Scorpion prospect in Ontario, Canada. One drill hole from the B4-7 deposit at the Scorpion Zone showed five metres at 0.87% nickel, 0.53% copper, 0.08% cobalt and 531 parts per billion (ppb) palladium. Mineralisation was also intersected on the Alpha Zone, returned three metres at 0.73% nickel, 0.15% copper, 0.04% cobalt, 3,283 ppb palladium and 240 ppb platinum."The recently completed drilling programme on the Scorpion Zone has confirmed the continuation of the B4-7 massive sulphide mineralisation between the existing intercepts on line 175W and 300W, and further validates the exploration target which contains a potential 1.5 Mt [million tonnes] to 2.0 Mt of sulphide mineralisation of similar grade range to that which has been outlined to date," the company said in a statement. Pre-feasibility studies on the combined B4-7 and the VW nickel deposits have started while a drill programme is being prepared to begin in the second or third quarter. RD
