LONDON, Dec 11 (IFR) - Elena Paitra has left her position asmanaging director in Goldman Sachs' UK debt capital marketsgroup and will join UK bank Lloyds' growing capital markets teamnext year, two sources told IFR on Wednesday.
The sources said that Paitra had resigned last week and willbe joining Lloyds after a customary gardening leave, withoutproviding details on her new position. Goldman Sachs declined tocomment while Lloyds was not immediately available.
Prior to her last role at Goldman Sachs, Paitra worked onthe bank's bond syndicate desk until August 2012.
Lloyds has built out its DCM team heavily over the pastyear, with sources saying that it anticipates a businesspick-up, especially in the hybrid and bank capital market.
In spring, the bank hired former UBS executive Eva Porz fora new structuring role, while in September, Keval Shah resignedfrom his role as co-head of FIG syndicate at Citigroup to becomehead of financial and corporate syndicate at Lloyds.
Lloyds is a top five sterling bond house but has struggledfor market share in the euro bond market and is not in the top15 of the Thomson Reuters all bonds in euro league table.
