IN BRIEF: KEFI Gold & Copper Reports Progress At Hawiah Project

KEFI Gold & Copper PLC - gold explorer in Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia - Reports further success with ongoing 13,00 metres drilling programme at 34%-owned Hawiah project in Saudi Arabia. First six drill holes reflecting 3,600 metres have yielded encouraging results.

Current programme's aim is to increase the maiden mineral resource estimate of 19.3 million tonnes at 0.9% copper, 0.8% zinc, 0.6 grams per tonne gold and 10.3g/t silver.

Second rig is now on site to accelerate the drill programme.

Current stock price: 1.80 pence

Year-to-date change: up 50%

Kefi Gold & Copper PLC - Cyprus-based gold and copper exploration and development company with projects in Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia - Progresses studies targeting recommencement and development at its Jibal Qutman gold project. Says a preliminary feasibility study is underway at its Hawiah copper-gold project, noting progress progress on the underground, open-pit and surface infrastructure designs. Also receives positive assay results from drilling at Hwaiah, returning a weighted-average gold grade of 1.7 grams per tonne. Completes initial drilling at Al Godeyer copper-gold prospect. Says assay from Al Godeyer are pending.

IN BRIEF: Kefi Gold raises GBP8 million from discounted share placing

KEFI Gold & Copper PLC - gold and copper explorer and developer in Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia - Places 1.0 billion in new shares at 0.8 pence each, raising GBP8.0 million. Of this, GBP3.6 million is conditional on shareholder approval. The fresh cash will fund the Tulu Kapi gold project in Ethiopia, exploration works at satellite deposits in the Tulu Kapi district, and the company's share of exploration at the Hawiah gold and copper project in Saudi Arabia. "The placing is to reinforce the rapid advancement of our three advanced projects in Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia," says Chair Harry Anagnostaras Adams.
