LONDON (Alliance News) - KCOM Group PLC said Wednesday it will appoint, as chief executive officer, the former head of the BT Group PLC business division.
Graham Sutherland is to join the communications and IT solutions business on Monday. He held a number of chief executive positions at BT, including the BT Business & Public Sector and BT Ireland divisions.
Sutherland has also held senior soles at NTL Inc and Bombardier Inc. He succeeds Bill Halbert, current KCOM CEO, who will remain with the company "for a sufficient period" in order to smooth the transition and aid in the conclusion of "certain strategic projects".
Shares in KCOM closed down 0.8% at 90.40 pence on Wednesday.
