K3 Bussiness Technology, the enterprise resource and planning (ERP) software company, announced Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Andy Makeham is to step down from the board with immediate effect.Makeham, who has been CEO of the company for 14 years, is stepping down 'to pursue new interests'. The role of Chief Executive will be handed over to the current Chief Financial Officer (CFO) David Bolton; who will be supported by the rest of the senior management team.Bolton, who has acted as CFO of K3 for over 15 years, certified as a qualified chartered accountant at Ernst and Young in the mid-1970's.He has also held various other top management positions at other companies such as at Kewill Systems, where he was a divisional sales and marketing director. Brian Davis, who worked for several years alongside the soon-to-be former Finance Director as Head of Finance, was to be his replacement at that post. The Group's trading in the first half of the financial year has been in line with management expectations, the outgoing CEO went on to explain.K3 said its return to revenue and profit growth was being driven principally by the launch of a major new Microsoft Dynamics solution.As of 12:38 the share price had remained unchanged at 145.00pWS
