EXECUTIVE CHANGES: CentralNic hires from GoDaddy for newly-made role

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced on Monday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

CentralNic Group PLC - London-based domain name registry and registrar services firm - Hires Carsten Sjoerup for new role of chief technology & product officer. "This newly created role is an important step in CentralNic's roadmap to becoming a world leading online services provider. This role will lead the integration of our technology and product teams across all our brands, with a focus on our technical expertise and new product launches," it says. Sjoerup joins from domain registrar GoDaddy, where he was chief information officer.

Capital Ltd - London-based mining services in Africa - Appoints Catherine Boggs as an independent non-executive director. She brings extensive knowledge of international mining law and investment, Capital says, and has been an independent director at Hecla Mining Co since 2017. Previously she was senior vice president for Corporate Development at gold miner Barrick Gold Corp.

Norman Broadbent PLC - London-based recruitment - Says Kevin Davidson joining on Monday as chief executive officer. He was most recently managing director of specialist executive search and leadership advisory firm, Ducatus Partners, a division of Airswift Holdings Ltd, and prior to that was CEO of Maxwell Drummond International, an international boutique executive search firm.

Block Energy PLC - oil and gas developer and producer in Georgia - Proposes appointment of Kenneth Seymour as an independent non-executive director. "Ken is currently an independent consultant focusing on dispute resolution, drilling optimisation and geothermal energy for HKA Global, Seplat Energy and Ceraphi Energy," firm says. Adds that Charles Valceschini, independent non-executive director, has tendered his notice of resignation and will serve out his notice period, which expires December 3.

Checkit PLC - Cambridge, England-based cloud-based workflow, monitoring and analytics services provider - Chief Financial Officer Aylsa Muir steps down to pursue other opportunities. Greg Price, previously director of finance, will replace with immediate effect. He has over 20 years of finance experience, company says.

ATTRAQT Group PLC - London-based software for online shopping - Appoints Tom Crawford as non-executive chair with immediate effect. He takes over from Nick Habgood who has stepped down from his role but will remain available for a number of months to help wit handover. Crawford is currently non-executive chair of K3 Business Technology Group PLC, and was, until January 2020, chief executive officer of Aptitude Software Group PLC.

K3 Business Technology Group PLC - enterprise software company - Says Per Johan Claesson retiring from board after more than 20 years of service. Gabrielle Hase is joining as a non-executive director in his place. Hase has significant experience in advising on omnichannel growth strategies and digital transformation, in particular for fashion retailers.

Macfarlane Group PLC - Glasgow-based packaging company - Hires Aleen Gulvanessian as a non-executive director with effect from start of October. She was a corporate partner at Eversheds Sutherland for 30 years before stepping down in May 2019 to become a consultant on boards and governance matters. Gulvanessian will chair Macfarlane's remuneration committee.

Chrysalis Investments Ltd - invests in technology and finance startups - Says it has appointed Margaret O'Connor as non-executive director. She was a founding member of the MasterCard Asia Pacific management team and established the MasterCard New Technology Communications group in New York. She brings knowledge on investing in disruptive technologies to Chrysalis.

Xpediator PLC - Braintree, England-based freight management services provider - Appoints Mark Whiteling as non-executive chair, effective September 22. He replaces Alex Borrelli who announced he was stepping down from the role at the time of the 2020 results announcement in April. He has "extensive executive experience in the B2B and logistics/distribution space", Xpediator notes, having been interim chief executive and chief financial officer at Premier Farnell PLC as well as CFO at Autobar Group Ltd and Tibbett & Britten Group PLC. His most recent executive experience was as CFO at Interserve PLC. He is currently senior independent director at Smiths News PLC.
