LONDON (Alliance News) - Specialist flooring firm Airea PLC on Wednesday said the deadline for James Halstead PLC to make its offer intentions clear has been pushed back 21 days.
The deadline for James Halstead to say it either intends to make an offer or not is now 1700 BST on May 23.
The announcement was noted by James Halstead, with both saying no firm intention either way has been made.
Discussions have been ongoing between the two since the original announcement in early April, when James Halstead confirmed it was "at the very early stages" of evaluating a possible offer.
The deadline has been pushed back to allow the two parties to continue talks.
Airea shares were up 4.4% on Wednesday, at 59.00 pence each, while James Halstead shares were at 391.00p, up 1.6%.
