IronRidge Intersects Coarse Spodumene At Cape Coast Project In Ghana

Thu, 31st Jan 2019 13:38

LONDON (Alliance News) - IronRidge Resources Ltd on Thursday said coarse spodumene was intersected at multiple holes on its Cape Coast lithium portfolio in Ghana.

Reverse circulation drilling totalling 4,684 metres was completed at its Abonko target and Ewoyaa lithium project. Course visible spodumene intersections - a source of lithium - were returned at Abonko.

Moreover, a 1,000 metre diamond drilling programme is underway for test work, density, and geotechnical and reverse circulation drill hole twinning in order to obtain a resource estimation sign-off at Ewoyaa.

"We are advancing on multiple fronts including exploration and resource drilling, implementing metallurgical sampling and test-work programmes, and advancing our regional exploration programmes," said IronRidge Chief Executive & Managing Director Vincent Mascolo.

"Coarse visible spodumene has been intersected in multiple RC drill holes at the Abonko target, whilst infill and extensional drilling at Ewoyaa continues to confirm spodumene mineralised pegmatites with assays pending," Mascolo added.

Shares in IronRidge were down 2.5% at 21.94 pence on Thursday.
