Iomart Group PLC - Glasgow-based operator of data centres - Invests nearly GBP2 million in networking hardware company Cisco Systems Inc's next generation core routing technology which will provide 100 gigabytes capacity on its network, with the ability to scale to 400 gigabytes. Notes capacity will increase through two interconnected peering facilities, Telehouse London and Equinix in Slough, and through Iomart's largest data centre in Maidenhead. Says Iomart is also increasing resiliency for its customers in its key data centres with the addition of extra fibre routes.

The investment ensures our customers will have the ability to deliver content and services faster than ever and without disruption," says Chief Executive Reece Donovan.
