Galliford Try has lodged an appeal against the OFT's £8.33m in respect of three incidences of cover pricing that occurred between the years 2001 to 2004. Gaillford's fine was part of fines of £130m in total after an OFT investigation into bid rigging on contracts.Lupus Capital has appointed Jamie Pike as non-executive chairman with immediate effect. Michael Jackson, who became non-executive chairman on 1 July 2009, will revert to being a non-executive director. Pike was Chief Executive of Foseco until its acquisition by Cookson Group plc in April 2008. He led the buy-out of Foseco from Burmah Castrol in 2001. His remuneration at Lupus will be £90,000 per annum and he is contracted to work at least four days per month.Security lighting group Eruma has placed 4.3m shares with two suppliers and two directors of the company. The suppliers have taken equity for services in lieu of fees, while the directors, Wayne Money and Alan Davis, have subscribed for shares worth abut £26,000 in total.Gear box developer, Antonov, in partnership with Jaguar, and MIRA, has been awarded a high profile project by the UK Government's Technology Strategy Board to develop a high efficiency 2-speed transmission suitable for use in electric vehicles. Antonov has also proposed to cancel its AIM listing, but will keep its Euronext quote.Shares in Griffin Mining, which operates the Caijiaying gold, copper and zinc project in China's Hebei province, slipped back after it said the Ministry of Land and Resources had requested changes to its application to mine below a certain level.Shares in Media Square fell sharply after the marketing company fell into losses amid a slump in revenues as clients slashed overheads.The company posted a pre-tax loss of £3.2m in the six months to August 31, compared with a profit of £1m the same period the previous year, as revenues fell to £44.9m from £64.2m.Sirius Exploration, a miner with salt and potash assets in North America and Australia, has announced that its subsidiary Dakota Salts is to conduct a study with a view to making an energy storage facility for a power plant in North Dakota.Samuel Heath and Sons, which makes bathroom accessories, posted a pre-tax loss of £97,000 in the half year to 30 September, compared with a profit of £387,000 over the same period the previous year, as revenues dropped to £4.75m from £6.15m.'The figures speak for themselves: trading was extremely difficult,' said chairman Sam Heath. 'Towards the end of the six month period, we thought that we had detected some sort of recovery, but this has disappeared over the last weeks.'imJack lost half of its value after the digital networking and media group said it requires further funds to provide working capital to implement the revised business model, to launch the Kwercus brand and to strengthen the balance sheet. It added that it intends to raise further funds by the end of January 2010.TyraTech dropped after it said its revenue expectations for the year to 31 December are now around $6m.Gearbox designer Torotrak is on track to hit its commercial and financial objectives for the year despite seeing a widening of interim losses.Loss before tax in the six months to the end of September expanded to £2.19m from £1,96m a year earlier, despite revenue growing from £0.93m to £1.41m. The company is expecting strong revenue growth in the second half of its financial year and said its is 'seeing a generally improving climate for our technology as the implications of future emissions legislation strengthen the business case for "environmentally friendly" technologies such as ours.'
