SMALL-CAP WINNERS & LOSERS: Harworth rallies as it raises outlook

Fri, 23rd Jul 2021 11:01

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Friday.

----------

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

----------

Harworth Group PLC, up 7.0% at 156.70 pence, 12-month range 86.4p-164.01p. Expects EPRA net disposal value as at June 30 to be "materially ahead" of current analyst consensus for December 31, which it understands to be 167p. Says this is as a result of strong operational performance and the effect of the buoyant land market, particularly in the industrial and logistics sectors. "Harworth has delivered a strong first half performance, advancing planning, development activity, sales and lettings across our portfolio," says Chief Executive Lynda Shillaw. Broker Liberum upgrades December 31 NDV forecast by 6.8% to 179p as a result. Liberum adds: "We continue to believe the risk to our forecasts is to the upside as planning gains on the strategic land portfolio and further progress on the major development sites could drive significant NAV growth over the next twelve months."

----------

Ted Baker PLC, up 1.2% at 139.4p, 12-month range 67p-217.6p. The upmarket fashion retailer says it has secured "beautiful" new headquarters in the Fitzrovia area of London on a 10-year lease at a lower cost. In addition, figures on Friday showed UK retail sales returned to growth in June with month-on-month growth of 0.5% after a fall of 1.3% in May.
