Oct 7 (Reuters) - Standard Chartered Plc hires fouranalysts to its consumer and industrial equity research teams inHong Kong and Korea.
Tina Li and Byun Seong-Jin joined in August to cover theindustrial sector, and Lee Jiyeon and Jessica Hong joined inJuly and September, respectively, to cover the consumer sector,the bank said.
Li and Hong will be based in Hong Kong and report to ErwinSanft, head of China and Hong Kong equity research; while Leeand Byun will be based in Seoul and report to Chung Sun, head ofKorea equity research.
Li will lead coverage of the automotive and capital goodssectors in China. She joins from BNP Paribas where shecovered the same sectors.
Byun will cover the Korean steel, shipbuilding, engineeringand construction sectors and joins after 15 years at Mirae AssetSecurities where he most recently led the industrial team.
Lee will cover the Korean consumer sector and joins from KBInvestment & Securities where she was responsible for cosmetics,retail and telecommunications sectors.
Hong will cover Hong Kong-listed international brands andthe retail sector in Hong Kong. She has covered the Hong Kongand China consumer sectors at JP Morgan and Mirae AssetSecurities, and also Hong Kong and China small caps at BearStearns and HSBC.
