LONDON, March 25 (Reuters) - The Toronto Dominion Bank has been appointed the 15th market-making member of theLondon Bullion Market Association, effective from March 19, theLBMA said on Wednesday.
As a market maker, the Canadian bank will be obliged tooffer two-way quotations in gold and silver forwards to othermarket makers throughout the London business day, providingmarket liquidity.
Standard Chartered was the last to join the LBMA'slist of forward market makers last month.
Total membership now stands at 146, the LBMA said, including15 market making members. These include Barclays Bank,HSBC and UBS.
