Halma buys Wolverhampton-based Static Systems for £37m

(Sharecast News) - Halma said on Monday that it has bought Wolverhampton-based Static Systems, a designer, manufacturer and installer of critical communication systems, for £37m in cash.
Static Systems' technology, which is used by UK healthcare trusts, enables hospital patients to alert healthcare specialists in an emergency, protecting lives and increasing the response time of care provided, Halma said.

For the 12 months to the end of November 2020, the business had unaudited revenue of £20.1m.

Chief executive Andrew Williams said: "Static Systems is highly aligned with our purpose and further extends our communications presence across multiple healthcare settings. In addition to opportunities for growth in international markets and through deeper clinical and technological integration, it is envisaged that Static Systems will provide a route to the UK healthcare market for certain existing products and services within Halma's Medical sector, including CenTrak's Real-Time Locating Systems."
