Georgia Healthcare Launches Two New Ambulatory Clinic Clusters

Wed, 30th Dec 2015 07:18

LONDON (Alliance News) - Georgia Healthcare Group PLC on Wednesday said it has launched two new ambulatory clinic clusters in Georgia, in the capital Tiblisi and in Kutaisi, the capital of the western region of the country.

Georgia Healthcare floated in London in November, having been spun-out of FTSE 250-listed Bank of Georgia Holdings PLC, which itself has been renamed BGEO Group PLC.

The new Tbilisi cluster covers a population of around 300,000 people, while the cluster in Kutaisi covers around 200,000, Georgia Healthcare said.

The group also has boosted its existing cluster in Tbilisi's Gldagni neighbourhood by adding an Express Ambulatory Clinic.

"I am glad that we are continuing to build momentum towards our goal of launching around 30 ambulatory clinics over the next two to three years. We plan to capitalise on the high growth potential of ambulatory services driven by recent healthcare reform and Georgia's new prescription policy that significantly increases the number of outpatient visits," said Nikoloz Gamkrelidze, Georgia Healthcare's chief executive.
