IN BRIEF: Foresight 4 VCT Posts 8.2% Total Return In Half Year

Foresight 4 VCT PLC - venture capital trust managed by Foresight Group LLP - Net asset value per share rises 3.2% in the half-year ended September 30 to 57.6 pence from 55.8p on March 31. NAV including the 2.8p interim dividend paid in August is 60.4p, for a total six-month return of 8.2%. Foresight 4 says its portfolio saw an uplift of GBP10 million in the past six months, despite the virus health crisis. It notes that eight of its investments, about 16% of its value, were in the hard-hit travel and entertainment field when the financial year began. "The Covid-19 virus has presented the company and the management of every one of its portfolio companies with unprecedented challenges which it is anticipated will persist for a considerable time to come," says Chair Raymond Abbott.
