Barlow is currently the executive director of corporate development for US drugmaker Amgen Inc, based in Switzerland, and worked in the past for healthcare industry giants AstraZeneca PLC and Johnson & Johnson.
"Once I'm on board, my aim is to continue building the network pharmacology platform, generating additional supporting data for the internal programmes, and on communicating to the industry the utility of this approach in addressing some of the biggest challenges it faces in treating serious and debilitating diseases," Barlow said.
Shares in e-Therapeutics were untraded on Monday morning, having last traded at 8.10 pence.
