Enterprise Inns On Track For Full Year As Second Half Progresses Well

Thu, 11th Aug 2016 08:27

LONDON (Alliance News) - Enterprise Inns PLC on Thursday said it has maintained an encouraging trading performance in the second half of its financial year to date.

The pub company said like-for-like net income in its leased and tenanted business grew by 1.9% year-on-year in the 44 weeks to July 30, with all aspects of its strategic plan on track.

The trading performance and expansion of its managed house operations is progressing well, Enterprise Inns said, adding that it expects to have in excess of 100 managed houses operational by September 30. In addition it continues to grow its portfolio of quality commercial properties and expects to have in the region of 300 such properties by the financial year-end.

"The consequences of Brexit may be far-reaching but to date we have seen no discernible impact on consumer spending and no consequential impact on our trading performance. Whilst mindful of the potential for some economic uncertainty in the months ahead, we are confident in our strategy and the actions we are taking to grow value for shareholders, and we remain on track to deliver our financial and strategic expectations for the year," Chief Executive Simon Townsend said in a statement.

Shares in Enterprise Inns were trading flat at 93.25 pence on Thursday morning.
