(Alliance News) - Europa Oil & Gas Holdings PLC said Tuesday it is continuing to hold farmout discussions with several potential partners for its Irish licences.
In addition, the oil & gas firm said it will participate in the Atlantic Ireland conference in Dublin on Tuesday and Wednesday.
At the conference, Europa will present "The Jurassic and Cretaceous Petroleum System of the East Flank of the Porcupine Basin: Implications for Prospectivity in Licences FEL 1/17 and FEL 3/13".
In the presentation, Europa will explain that the South Porcupine basin is 50,000 square kilometres, and underexplored with just four wells.
Although considered a frontier basin, the oil, gas and condensate content has been production tested with both the source and reservoir proven, Europa said.
The commercial threshold is 5,000 barrels of oil per day for each well, which Europa said its east flank prospects in licences FEL 1/17 and FEL3/13 have the potential to meet these criteria.
For licences FEL 1/17, FEL3/13 and FEL4/19 Europa has continued farmout negotiations with a major oil company, but has also marketed the licences to other potential partners.
Looking ahead, Europa remains focused on drilling the Inishkea prospect, offshore Ireland, with the site survey process for a drilling location still in progress.
The company still hopes to start drilling operations in 2021.
Shares in Europa Oil & Gas were 11% lower at 2.21 pence on Tuesday in London.
