(Alliance News) - Healthcare software and services provider EMIS Group PLC said Tuesday its EMIS Health unit has become the first GP clinical system supplier on NHS Digital's buying catalogue.
Being awarded a place on the catalogue is one of the conditions required for EMIS Health to be awarded a place on the NHS GP IT Futures Framework.
The GP IT Futures Framework is to govern the provision of the clinical IT systems and services to general practitioners in England.
The framework will replace GP Systems of Choice, the current contractual framework in operation, and will commence at the start of 2020 up until March 2023.
The catalogue is the online platform through which clinical IT systems will be acquired under the framework.
EMIS first announced the initial awarding of a place of the framework in mid-October.
Shares in EMIS Group - which is headquartered in Leeds - were up 0.9% at 1,074.0 pence on Tuesday in London.
