Electrocomponents Appoints David Egan As Group Finance Director

LONDON (Alliance News) - Electrocomponents PLC said Monday that it has appointed David Egan as its group finance director, with effect from the beginning of March 2016.

Egan was previously group finance director of speciality chemicals and engineered materials company Alent PLC, and prior to that held roles at ESAB Holdings Ltd and Hanson PLC.

"In his most recent role as group finance director of Alent, a global FTSE 250 company, David worked with a similar customer base to our own, led a major efficiency improvement initiative and created significant shareholder value. I look forward to working with him to ensure we grow our business and transform its performance," Chief Executive Officer Lindsley Ruth said in a statement.
