IN BRIEF: Directa Gets Another Chinese Patent For Graphene Technology

Directa Plus PLC - Graphene-based products producer headquartered in Essex- Gets Chinese patent for the use of its G+ graphene technology for bicycle, motorcycle and passenger car tyres as well as truck and bus radial tyres. Patent - which is the sixth granted - covers the formula which utilises the technology for the tread component and allows manufacturers to balance and enhance rolling resistance and grip.

IN BRIEF: Directa Plus signs first exclusive supply deal in Colombia

Directa Plus PLC - London-based graphene product maker - Announces first exclusive supply agreement in Latin America, worth around EUR1 million. The agreement with Colombian ballistic protection clothing manufacturer CIA Miguel Caballero SAS runs for at least four years. Directa will supply CIA Miguel with a total of 77,500 linear metres of planar thermal circuit, or PTC, printed material, starting in October. "This contract is the first high-volume application of the PTC technology in ballistic vests and our first in Latin America.
