Directa Plus Hails Continued Progress In Graphene Technology Projects

Tue, 18th Jun 2019 16:13

(Alliance News) - Graphene-focused technology developer Directa Plus PLC said Tuesday it had continued to make progress with its projects, with all of its markets expected to do well in 2019.

Directa explained it continued to make "good progress" in using its graphene nanoplatelet technology to enhance current product of customers.

In textiles & workwear, Directa continues to grow new applications and new materials. This includes progress in the luxury and denim markets.

Within the environmental segment, the firm is planning to offer a full decontamination service for its Grafysorber pollutant absorber product to the oil and gas market.

At its composites & elastomers business, Directa explained its asphalt additive and retread tyres were gaining "considerable market traction with important trials expected to commence or complete this year."

"2019 has started well for us with our strategy continuing to deliver and we expect to make good progress in all of our key vertical markets," Directa Chief Executive Officer Giulio Cesareo said.

"Our international footprint is expanding - the visibility of Directa Plus and our products in the world's largest market for graphene, the United States, has increased materially as a result of our initiatives with the US Graphene Association", Cesareo added.

Shares in Directa were 3.0% higher at 85.00 pence in London on Tuesday.
