Consumer Goods Firm Creightons Reports Death Of Board Veteran Carney

Fri, 29th Nov 2019 06:52

(Alliance News) - Peterborough-based Creightons PLC on Thursday said that Non-Executive Director Mary Carney died on Tuesday.

Carney had been a director with the company for over 20 years, having first joined the Creightons's board in November 1999.

"During this time, she has served on and chaired both the audit and remuneration committees, and with McIlroy, the chair, was jointly one of our longest serving directors, having helped steer the company through the challenges we faced during the early 2000s, the successful acquisition and integration of the Potter & Moore and later the Broad Oak businesses and subsequent growth of the company's operations and our return to profitability," Creightons said.

Creightons shares closed at 41.10 pence each, down 0.6%, in London on Thursday.
