LONDON (Alliance News) - Canadian Overseas Petroleum Ltd on Wednesday said drilling has started on the Mesurado-1 offshore well in Liberia.
ExxonMobil Exploration & Production Liberia Ltd have started the drilling work, the first well to be operated by US major Exxon Mobil Corp offshore Liberia.
Canadian Overseas Petroleum (Bermuda) Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Canadian Overseas Petroleum, owns a 17% interest in the Block LB-13 area where the well is located.
Canadian Overseas Petroleum shares were up 3.0% to 10.55 pence on Wednesday.
