(Sharecast News) - Embedded computer board company Concurrent Technologies announced a new processor board on Wednesday - the 'TR L9x/6sd-RCx', based on the Intel Xeon W-11000E series processor, formerly known as 'Tiger Lake-H', which itself was announced by Intel on Tuesday.
The AIM-traded firm said the board was designed in alignment with the 'SOSA' technical standard for I/O-intensive processor boards, and was aimed at the defence market for use as a system controller in high-performance sensor based solutions, in applications including situational awareness, software-defined radio and radar-processing applications.
Concurrent said security was "critical" on the majority of applications, with the TR L9x/6sd-RCx set to support a range of security capabilities which could be supplemented by Concurrent's own 'Guardian' package to maximise protection against external threats.
"Since joining Concurrent Technologies, I have been impressed by our attitude to develop cutting edge products that have market differentiation and our ability to manufacture them in our own high-quality and controlled facility," said chief executive officer Dr Miles Adcock.

At 1410 BST, shares in Concurrent Technologies were up 1.05% at 85.39p.
