(Sharecast News) - Embedded computer board company Concurrent Technologies announced a new processor board on Wednesday - the 'TR L9x/6sd-RCx', based on the Intel Xeon W-11000E series processor, formerly known as 'Tiger Lake-H', which itself was announced by Intel on Tuesday.
The AIM-traded firm said the board was designed in alignment with the 'SOSA' technical standard for I/O-intensive processor boards, and was aimed at the defence market for use as a system controller in high-performance sensor based solutions, in applications including situational awareness, software-defined radio and radar-processing applications.

Concurrent said security was "critical" on the majority of applications, with the TR L9x/6sd-RCx set to support a range of security capabilities which could be supplemented by Concurrent's own 'Guardian' package to maximise protection against external threats.

"As a top-tier member of the Intel Partner Alliance, Concurrent Technologies has early access to a range of devices from the Intel internet-of-things group, and we are committed to announcing new products based on relevant devices and qualifying them to the exacting standards that our customers require."

At 1410 BST, shares in Concurrent Technologies were up 1.05% at 85.39p.
