Director dealings: Aston Martin directors linked to big sales, CLS non-exec's firm invests

Tue, 30th May 2023 15:13

(Sharecast News) - Luxury car maker Aston Martin Lagonda found itself with the top two entries on the list of director sells on Tuesday, after two multi-million pound transactions were linked to two of its directors.

The company said the British Virgin Islands-domiciled Yew Tree Overseas offloaded 34,930,307 shares in a single transaction on the London Stock Exchange on 25 May.

It sold the shares for 335p each, valuing the transaction at £117,016,528.45.

Aston Martin said Yew Tree Overseas is "closely associated" with its executive chairman Lawrence Stroll.

The company also disclosed that the Swiss-incorporated Saint James Invest SA sold 2,333,127 shares on 25 May as well, also in a single transaction on the London Stock Exchange.

It received 335p for each share too, giving that sale a total value of £7,815,975.45.

Aston Martin said in its filing that Saint James Invest SA is linked to its non-executive director Michael de Picciotto.

On the buying side of things, CLS Holdings announced a purchase worth over £2m linked to a non-executive director.

It said Creative Value Investment VII picked up 1.5 million shares in a single transaction in London on 26 May.

The buyer paid 138p for each share it bought, spending a total of £2,070,000.00.

CLS said Creative Value Investment VII is an entity "closely associated" with its non-executive director and deputy chairman Anna Seeley.

At the close on Tuesday, shares in Aston Martin Lagonda Global Holdings were down 2.29% at 259.2p, while those in CLS Holdings were 1.15% weaker at 137.4p.
