A conditional order for 200 power and heat generators has boosted the share price of energy efficient technology group Ceramic Fuel Cells. The order, which was made by the German energy group EWE, is worth up to €4.9m (£4.1m), Ceramic Fuel said. The generators convert natural gas into electricity and heat. They will be installed in homes in the Lower Saxony region of northern Germany. The order is dependent on EWE obtaining government funding. If it goes ahead EWE will take delivery of 70 of the generators in 2011 and 130 in 2012.'We are confident that the German government will support the project and we look forward to continuing to deploy products with EWE, our longest-standing customer and partner,' said Ceramic Fuels managing director Brendan Dow.
