AIM WINNERS & LOSERS: Kropz up on phosphate production; Cenkos upbeat

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers on AIM in London on Friday.

AIM - WINNERS

Kropz PLC, up 17% at 8.63 pence, 12-month range 3.50p-13.00p. The phosphate explorer says it achieved the first phosphate rock concentrate production from its Elandsfontein operation in the Western Cape in South Africa. Kropz says concentrate samples will now be prepared for shipment to a number of potential buyers to confirm product specifications. The sales to smaller local customers in South Africa will start in late March.

Cenkos Securities PLC, up 15% at 68.70p, 12-month range 50.16p-97.00p. The stockbroker reports jump in annual profit and says it has started 2022 well. Revenue for 2021 grows 18% to GBP37.2 million, boosted by an increase in transactions, with Cenkos completing 34 in the period, raising over GBP1.2 billion for clients. Posts pretax profit of GBP4.0 million, 75% higher than GBP2.3 million the year before. Cenkos will pay a full-year dividend of 4.25p, up 21% from 3.5p for 2020.

Orchard Funding Group PLC, up 3.8% at 53.97p, 12-month range 46.00p-63.96p. The insurance premium funding provider says it traded ahead of management expectations in the first half of its financial year, due to higher demand for funding. For the six months ended January 31, lending increased 27% to GBP38.2 million from GBP30.0 million a year prior. Orchard's loan book grew by 21% to GBP33.5 million from GBP27.6 million a year before. As a result, expects revenue for its current financial year to exceed prior expectations

Bezant Resources PLC, up 2.9% at 0.18p, 12-month range 0.11p-0.43p. The copper and gold exploration firm says long-awaited approvals from the Philippines government had been received for the Mankayan project. The Philippines government's Mines & Geosciences Bureau of the Department of Environment & Natural Resources has renewed Crescent Mining & Development Corp's mineral production sharing agreement for a second 25-year term. The initial 25-year term had expired on November 11 of last year.
