AIM WINNERS & LOSERS: Phoenix Copper slips after capital raise

Rockhopper Exploration, up 5.5% at 9.93 pence, 12-month range 4.0p-14.23p. The oil company says that an extension of its North Falkland Basin Petroleum Licences has been agreed with the Falkland Islands government.

AIM - LOSERS

Phoenix Copper, down 12% at 36.01p, 12-month range 4.5p-64.7p. The precious metals exploration and development company says it has raised GBP16.5 million through a placing and a direct subscription, with the proceeds going towards its Empire Mine in Idaho. Phoenix Copper says it raised a total of GBP12.3 million via the placing of 35.1 million shares at an issue price of 35p per share. Phoenix Copper additionally announces it raised GBP4.2 million through a direct subscription with the company for 11.9 million new shares.

Katoro Gold, down 6.2% at 1.735p, 12-month range 1.01p-3.9p. Chaarat Gold, down 24.3p, 12-month range 19.18p-42p. The gold miners were tracking spot gold prices lower, quoted at USD1,695.44 an ounce Friday morning, lower against USD1,718.65 late Thursday. Gold fell as the dollar strengthened after dovish comments from US Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell on Thursday.

Braveheart Investment, down 6.7% at 63.89p, 12-month range 1.25p-140.2p. Chief Executive Officer Trevor Brown sells 1.2 million shares at 57.41p each, in a deal worth GBP688,874.52. Brown retains a 17% stake.

Braveheart H1 losses widen
