HOUSTON, Dec 10 (Reuters) - A reformer malfunction onThursday had little impact on production at BP Plc's 413,500-barrel-per-day (bpd) Whiting, Indiana, refinery, sourcesfamiliar with plant operations said.
A BP spokesman declined on Thursday to discuss operations atthe refinery, which is BP's largest U.S. plant and plays asignificant role is supplying the Midwestern and Upper Plainsstates.
Work was underway to fix a malfunctioning valve on the60,000 bpd Ultraformer, which converts low-octane refiningby-products into high-octane gasoline components, the sourcessaid. (Reporting by Erwin Seba; Editing by Meredith Mazzilli)
