HOUSTON, Dec 23 (Reuters) - BP Plc plans to beginrestarting a catalytic reformer at the 413,500 barrel per day(bpd) Whiting, Indiana, refinery over the weekend, a sourcefamiliar with plant operations said on Friday.
The 60,000 bpd reformer, which produces octane-boostinggasoline components from refining byproducts, shut down onTuesday, triggering a jump of 5 cents a gallon in wholesalegasoline prices on the Chicago market. (Reporting by Erwin Seba; Editing by Richard Chang)
