HOUSTON, Feb 18 (Reuters) - BP Plc plans overhauls on unitsin the late spring and early fall of this year at its 413,500barrel per day (bpd) Whiting, Indiana, refinery, said Chicagomarket and industry sources.
In April, BP plans a month of work on the refinery's 60,000bpd reforming unit, which converts refining by-products intocomponents blending into gasoline to boost octane, the sourcessaid.
In September, BP has tentative plans to overhaul the 110,000bpd gasoline-producing fluidic catalytic cracking unit, thelarger of two at the refinery, for six weeks, according to thesources.
One of the sources added that the FCCU work may berescheduled.
