HOUSTON, Aug 29 (Reuters) - BP has begun shutting inproduction at its Thunder Horse, Na Kika and Atlantis platformsin the U.S. Gulf of Mexico as a precaution against TropicalDepression Nine, according to a notification on the company'swebsite.
BP says it has evacuated non-essential personnel from itsfour operated platforms in the Gulf.
Its Mad Dog production platform in the Deepwater Gulfcontinues to operate, BP said. That facility is located furtherwest. (Reporting by Liz Hampton)
