Aug 30 (Reuters) - BP on Monday began assessing possible
damage from Hurricane Ida to its U.S. Gulf of Mexico oil and gas
platforms and pipeline connections and said it will not restart
operations until appraisals are completed.
BP, the second-largest Gulf of Mexico oil producer by
volume, said it cannot predict how long the evaluations will
take. It is confirming that pipeline operators can accept any
production and regulatory approvals are in place before
restarting, it said in a statement on its website.
