IN BRIEF: Redrow names Unite Group Non-Exec Akers as chair-designate

Redrow PLC - Ewloe, Wales-based housebuilder - Says Richard Akers will join the board as chair‐designate & independent non-executive director on June 1. Akers will work closely with John Tutte during a handover period and Akers will assume the role of non-executive chair in mid-September, at which time Tutte will stand down from the board. Tutte was appointed as chair in April 2019 following the retirement from the business of Steve Morgan, the company's founder. In February, Redrow announced Tutte's intention to retire.

Akers currently holds independent non-executive roles at Unite Group PLC and Shaftesbury PLC, and until recently, having completed nine years, held a non-executive role at Barratt Developments PLC.
