(ShareCast News) - Barclays will take centre stage on Tuesday as it reports its full year results.UBS has pencilled in an underlying pre-tax profit of £6.84bn, compared to £5.50bn a year earlier.However, at the stated level the analyst sees the bank reporting a loss before tax of £2.016 in the fourth quarter and an annual profit before tax of £1.96bn, down from £2.2bn in 2014. UBS said it would be driven by expected weaker investment banking revenues, a £1.95bn assumed provision for payment protection insurance claims, restructuring charges of £231m and legacy provisions of £200m.Deutsche Bank (DB) noted that it has been a "busy year" for the lender with a number of non-core disposals and litigation settlements since the third quarter. In the latest news, Barclays on Monday said it was evaluating its strategic options on the potential sale of Barclays Africa Group.The bank, which owns about 62.3% of Barclays Africa, said it expects to update the market on Tuesday with its 2015 full year results."We think that Barclays continues to execute on its strategy of improving returns in core businesses, running down noncore risk weighted assets, and building capital over time (we forecast return on tangible equity of 8% for 2015, excluding all one-off items)," DB analyst Kinner Lakhani said."That said, there remains more work to do, and we expect new CEO (Jes) Staley to outline his outlook for the mix and strategy of the business on 1 March."Lakhani believes the main areas of focus on Tuesday will be the strategy for the investment bank, any announcement on the Africa business, PPI charges, capital and non-core revenues.DB expects a further £1.5bn of PPI charges and a common equity tier 1 (CET1) capital ratio of 10.9% for the fourth quarter.
