Barclays is set to appoint Crawford Gillies to the group's board as a Non-Executive Director and he is expected to replace John Sunderland as Chairman of the remuneration committee later this year.Gillies who holds directorships at Standard Life and Scottish Enterprise will immediately become a member to the banks remuneration committee. His appointment will be announced to the stock market on Tuesday, according to SKY News.The report comes ahead of the group's annual general meeting which will be held on April 24th. The lender's investors were angered by the banks decision to raise its bonus pool by 10% to £2.4bn in February despite a dip in pre-tax profits. Shareholders were annoyed by the move as the bank was forced to raise almost £6bn through a rights issue last year.Jupiter asset management, which holds a small stake in the bank, is amongst shareholders anticipated to vote against the directors' remuneration report.As of 09:32 shares of Barclays were 0.03% lower at 237.4p.
