LONDON (Alliance News) - Accsys Technologies PLC and Jupiter Second Split Trust PLC both appointed new chairmen Tuesday after the previous holder of the roles, former Babcock International Group PLC Chief Executive and Chairman Gordon Campbell, died.
In a statement, investment trust Jupiter Second Split Trust said it had appointed former Chancellor of the Exchequer Lord Lamont as its new chairman. Campbell had been chairman of Jupiter Second Split Trust since it was launched in 2004.
Accsys Technologies said non-executive director Patrick Shaney had been appointed chairman while the company considered a permanent replacement. Campbell joined the Accsys board in 2005 and became chairman in 2010 and "has been instrumental in turning around the company during a very difficult period", the company said.
Accsys said Campbell passed away following a period of illness, and said its sympathies were with his wife, Jennifer, and his daughters, Shona and Claire.
