The Non-Executive Chairman of Spirent Communications has purchased £30,358-worth of shares in the FTSE 250-listed technology group. Alexander Walker acquired 30,000 shares at 101.19p each. He now holds a total of 213,014 shares. The deal comes around a month after the company delivered an impressive set of first quarter results which revealed both revenue and profit were ahead of expectations, although Investec said that figures are "not as good as they appear on the surface".Revenues rose 16% year-on-year to $112m in the three months to March 31st, while earnings before interest, tax and amortisation (EBITA) gained 9% to $11.4m.
